Overview:
Follow these simple steps if you've been logged out of Microsoft Outlook or Microsoft Teams.


Troubleshooting Steps

Step 1: Check Your Connection

Check Internet:

  • Open a web browser and visit any website
  • If not working, reconnect to WiFi

Check VPN (If working remotely):

  • Look for Azure VPN icon in bottom-right corner
  • Click and select Connect if disconnected

Step 2: Did You Recently Change Your Password?

If yes:

  1. Restart your laptop completely
  2. Sign in with your NEW password
  3. Open Outlook/Teams and sign in when prompted

Step 3: Sign Back In

For Outlook:

  1. Open Outlook
  2. Enter your email address and password when prompted
  3. Click Sign In

For Teams:

  1. Open Teams
  2. Enter your email address and password
  3. Complete multi-factor authentication if asked

Step 4: Restart Your Computer

If still not working:

  1. Save your work
  2. Restart your computer
  3. Connect to VPN (if remote)
  4. Open Outlook/Teams and sign in again

  • Are you working remotely or in the office?
  • Did you recently change your password?
  • Which application is affected (Outlook, Teams, or both)?
