Method 1: Deleting Individual or Multiple Contacts


Open edge in incognito mode- 

  • How to open incognito mode?

        - Open the browser as usual.

        - Click on the 3 dots at the top right corner (marked below,1). 

        - From the options that come up, select 'New InPrivate Window' (marked 2). 

        - A new window with a black background will open.




Open Google Contacts:



To Select Contacts 

  • Bring cursor to the contacts you want to delete, and a smallbox before there name appears, tick the box. 
  • To delete multiple contacts: Hover your mouse over the contact's profile picture or initial and click the checkbox. You can select as many as needed at once.




Now to Delete

  • Once you’ve selected the contacts, click on the 3 dots from extreme right and select the trash icon (Delete).




  • Confirm the deletion by clicking Move to bin in the pop-up.


Method 2: Deleting Contacts by Label



To delete all the contacts in a label 


Find the label on the left-hand side, under the "Labels" section, bring curson on the label with the group of contacts you want to delete. When you hoover the cursor on the lable you need to delete, the delete icon appear. 





To Delete:


Click on the delete Icon, when you click it will give you 2 options as shown in the picture. Here you can decide if you want to keep all the contacts and keep the label or if you want to delete both label and contacts. Select the second option and press delete.




Note: Deleting contacts from a label doesn’t just remove them from that label—it removes them from your entire Google Contacts list.


If you have accidentally deleted a contact you have 30 days to recover it from the bin. After 30 days the contact will be permanently deleted
