This guide will take you through steps on How to set up email forwarding rule in outlook to ensure the email from a particular sender goes into a specific folder
- Go to outlook and create a sub folder you need the re-directed email to go into. Right click on inbox and the following options as show below shows up, click on New folder and name it as per your preferance.
2. Now go to file > Rules and Alerts
3. Once you click on file, you see the below menu, click on "Rules and Alerts"
4. Once you click on "Manage Rules and Alerts" you see the below window. Click on " new rule "
5. Once you click on " new rule" you see the below options, select " Move messages from someone to a folder " and click next
6. Once you click next, select the relevant options you wish to select the rule for, like in this case it will be " from people or public group ", once the selection is done click go to next step
7. On step 2 of the below window, click on " people or public group" (1) and it will open the address book and you can select the sender from there, once selected the sender click on "specified" (2).
8. Once you click on specified, it will show yo the list of folders (a), Click on the arrow marked below to expand and view the subfolder (b) you created. Click on the subfolder you need to re-direct the emails to and click "ok"

9. Once selected the above preferences, click next and you will see the below options. Untick "stop processing more rules" and make sure to tick " move it to the specified folder "
10. Click on next and tick any of the following options if applicable, and click next, irrespective of if you selected any of the below options.
11. After clicking next you will see the below window, tick the option "Turn on this rule" and select Finish.
Once you select finish, click on "apply" and "ok" on the window that pop's up
You have now successfully set up email re-direction to a specified folder
